Follow-up and treatment of long term backorders

Description of the service

1. Objective

Define what MSF-Supply is committed towards its partners in regards to the follow-up, the information transmitted and the treatment of long term backorders of more than 4 weeks.

2. Scope

With some orders, it may happen that all or part of the items in an order or an entire order may be delayed from the announced RTS date for a variety of reasons.

MSF-supply undertakes to inform the missions and to propose alternatives if available. The partner can also at this time simply cancel the article and the order without financial conditions.

 

Use of the service

The Operations Desk informs the mission at the beginning or end of each month (depending on the agreements established with the mission) of significant delays (more than 4 weeks) and explains them. As far as possible, alternative solutions will be proposed (other sources, cancellation of the item, etc.). This procedure may lead to a cancellation of one or more items on the part of the mission, if the new RTS date proposed is too long, see :

Note: For some single-source items where supplier delivery times become problematic due to availability issues, MSF Supply sets an RTS date of 2049. In this case, the mission can modify or cancel the order 1 working day after its confirmation.

 

Conditions

  1. In the event that MSF Supply fails to meet the delivery deadline by more than 4 weeks, the mission is entitled to cancel its order at no additional cost.

  2. The financial impact that this may have must be paid by MSF Supply, as the cancellation is made as a result of MSF Supply's failure to meet the RTS deadlines (+4 weeks).
