Portal, Unidata and Unifield

The Portal interacts with other systems.

Here below is a basic illustration of the relationship with Unidata and Unifield. Unidata is the Master Data Management system (MDM) that contains all the codes created in the MSF movement (the user friendlier version of it is Unicat). Unifield is the information system (ERP) deployed in the field.

a) The Portal's catalogue feeds from Unidata through the ERP system of MSF Supply, Nodhos

b) In Nodhos, MSF Supply decides whether or not items will be made available on the Portal

c) As for Unifield, it feeds from Unidata too. Unifield users see all the codes that are subscribed in Unidata by their MSF section

d) In Unifield the purchase order (PO) is created and sourced to MSF Supply. An order file is uploaded into the Portal

e) Once fully validated in the Portal, the PO is processed in Nodhos

f) Users can follow the order evolution and the transport details in the Extranet

g) In the Extranet users can also retrieve the PO confirmation and eventually h) the confirmation of incoming shipment (IN)

You may come across the question "I see a code in Unifield that I cannot find in the Portal..." . That typically happens when MSF Supply - in Nodhos - does not make available the code in the Portal (b), for various reasons. In the illustration that is the case of the stethoscope
