About the RTS date in the Extranet...
“RTS date” is the estimated date when the goods ordered will be ready for shipment to the mission. This date is calculated based on planning in the warehouse to process the order (pick and pack) in accordance to the availability of the goods ordered.
When you will see during your order follow up in the extranet that an item has no RTS date and it is mentioned “pls contact your desk ops”; this means that this date is under revision. We have contacted the supplier and we are waiting for a new delivery date to be confirmed. With this supplier delivery date we can then estimate the “reviewed RTS date”.
Today we are facing an increased number of lines with “RTS dates” that needs to be reviewed mainly due to an increase of activity and the inability of our suppliers to confirm our orders, reflecting in your order follow-up with an increase of lines with the mention “pls contact your desk ops”.
We are aware that this might affect your missions and we are taking all necessary actions to curb this situation by increasing our capacity and develop contacts with our suppliers in order to have at least an estimated date when the goods will be available. You should see an improvement of this by the end of the year and earlier January. We will keep you update on the situation.
