A forecast is a list of articles, with quantities, that the mission is going to order to MSF Supply during a given budgetary year for a specific projetproject. In the Portal there may be as many forecast as you need for a project, and all shall be included in a project basket. Forecasts are either med or log.
A forecast is based on a standard list, therefore you can forecast only articles that are included in a standard list (either a list for the same projetc project of the forecast or a list at mission level) and that are included in the Portal catalogue, i.e. no unknown item or star codes.
For Emergency pools and some clients the forecast module is used to draft scenarios, thus each forecast can be considered a list and quantity of items that may be used in a specific intervention (earthquake scenario, cholera, Ebola, etc.).
